About 8 years ago I purchased a Dell desktop computer and printer. Everything was going well until late May (2019). I placed an order for ink cartridges. After over a week, they contacted me to tell me the order would be delayed. Then a few days later, it was canceled....

Dell - Excess Interest Fees on Purchases

1.5
Details
I purchased a Dell computer/printer combo about one and a half years ago. I have had constant problems, especially with the printer. I have been making the regular required monthly payments since purchase and yet with my monthly payment, the interest is as much or more than the principle! I have finally decided to cal the Florida Attorney General as well as my personal attorney regarding this sham. Dell has deteriorated into a substandard inefficient company that should be barred from doing business in the USA. Please check into this problem. This is ridiculous in this day and age. Needs to be made and serviced in the USA! Ben Carlton

We have a Dell Laser MFP 1815dn multi function printer, which worked well under Windows XP and 7. When we upgraded to Windows 10, the printer function stopped working, and the scanner and copier work badly. Looking around online, on the Dell site and elsewhere, I've...

I checked the Dell site and yes, your model printer is not compatible with the new Windows 10---not unusual for an older model printer. Printer manufacturers cannot possibly m...

Dell Refuses to Help Me With an Extended Service/Tech Support Contract-Their Answer is Order Color Ink

I have an issue with Dell computers. I purchased a laptop, printer that faxes, copies, scans and prints and a modem. I later had to purchase a tech support contract because I had numerous issues with the computer and talking thru them wasn't fixing it. The contract was for support here in the US, I no longer had to call some foreign country and speak with someone I couldn't understand because of a very heavy accent. It also gave me the benefit of having a tech come to my home for major issues and they do in home repair. $250 seemed harsh but worth it, especially since I could speak to someone with a mid-west accent like mine. I lost a Mother Board and a Hard Drive at separate times from the laptop. One of my first issues was that the printer doesn't allow you to print after an ink cartridge is low. You cannot say print in black only or use what's available, the print options don't work. The Call Dell prompt just keeps popping up. Drove me nuts since I could give a C _ _ _ about color ink. I work from home and need the printer when I need it. I called Dell Support and a nice lady did something that corrected that until I lost the Mother Board. Not only do you lose all your files, photos and everything else you value but you lose your settings. I called Dell again and someone fixed it for me. Then the Hard Drive went and again I lost it all. It takes an act of God to hook this printer up. It's wireless and sits in a small cabinet and the room is small and there is nowhere to set the printer to hook the wires up to it when you initially set it up. It takes a person to hold the printer while someone else types through the set up. So, since I lost everything, including my Microsoft office I paid Dell for, I decided not to hook my printer up to my computer because something will more than likely take it down again and it is hooked to my husband's desk top and if I absolutely needed to print I could send it to him and he could print it. The day came I needed to print and we couldn't print from his because of the "out of color ink" situation. I called Dell for them to work their magic a 3rd time but there is no longer US support on my contract I spent $250 for (they shipped that department overseas as well) and they refused to help me because it was hooked to my husband's computer (an HP) and not mine. All I need them to do is *** the Order ink option so we can Use Black Ink only. It's not my fault they build a *** product and it keeps breaking. The last loon that wrote me back from Dell (Rathish) told me to order colored ink. OMG. I don't need color ink. It should be illegal for them to force you to purchase anything. My husband says, and repeats often to anyone who's listening, he would never buy anything from Dell.

Dell - Steve

Wow, just spent an hour trying to touch base with dell tech support to resolve a problem with their P713w printer. They just keep sending you round and round. The only info I was able to obtain was that the warranty is up. I wasn't even able to email anyone let alone get support. I wasn't able to chat or email tech support. I was given self help instructions which of course didn't work. I guess once you're out of warranty they don't want to know you anymore. Doesn't make for repeat customers that's for sure. This thing is going in the garbage then I'll be done with Dell.

DELL PRINTERS ARE HORRIBLE

I purchased a printer and it began jamming three months later, Dell sent a new one and I returned to old one. Well now the new one is jamming and they will not do anything to help. The model of the printer is a V515W. Now they refuse to accept a return of the printer or the new cartridges that I have recently purchased. I have been on the phone with them for over 30 minutes in an attempt to solve the problem. The customer service representatives are not in the United States and therefore there is a communication problem. They refuse to transfer you to an agent in the United States.

Dell doesn't stand behind their products

I am very unhappy with my recent experience with Dell. In fact, this isn't the first time I've been ticked at them, just the most recent. Any others have similar tales? Maybe we can put on a bit of pressure to do better by their customers. My Story: I have owned (that I can document) two PC's, two 1600N printers, one 2335 DN Printer/Copier/Fax, one 5100CN Color Laser Printer, 2 EPads, and one 2150CDN Color Laser. Naturally, I have purchased a fair amount of toner cartridges and other consumables. My current gripe is the 2150CDN. It sounds like it's grinding itself to bits. I called customer service and got passed around for over an hour. The upshot is, it's out of warranty, and they will do nothing. Sounds fair, right? Wrong! This machine comes with a one year warranty, unless you pay an unreasonable charge to buy an extended warranty. I didn't. So, I own a machine about 14 months old. Here's the complaint: This machine is advertised to handle a monthly duty cycle of up to 40,000 pages. That would be 480,000 pages in a one year warranty. My machine has 14,443 total pages on the meter. That's less than 1 month's worth of work. Dell, let me ask you this, "Is it acceptable to sell a product that does less than one twelfth of what it is advertised to do, and then shrug it off because it is now 14 months old?"

I will never buy Dell again!

My husband and I were dedicated Dell customers, buying 3 computers from them over the years, but this last time, the products we received have been terrible, requiring 2 separate service calls to get the computer working properly, actually requiring replacing of the motherboard! The service providers were incompetent and the second one was even a bit surly and refused to help me re-install all the updates required to make the thing even work, his reply was, "you can do it". So he did the hardware part and left leaving me to figure out how to do 5 hours worth of updates and drivers before I could even use the computer. Now the P513w printer that we got at the same time is not working at all and the support guy on the phone has told me it is not fixable and I will need to buy a new printer. I'm going to demand that they give us some sort of credit at least, to buy replacement printer ink for the old printer we happen to have kept. I will not buy another Dell product from now on and recommend that you do the same!

I had a problem with burning CD's and contacted Dell Technical Support. Someone named Ankit proceeded to *** me into buying a 3 year service with IOLO System Mechanic Pro for $129.85. Later I found that this system was for security only and had nothing to do with...
