Why to avoid doing business with Dell Computer

I own a Dell Computer. A year ago, I signed up for their "Concierge Service" -- which is a prepaid technical support service. I renewed the service a few weeks ago. After that, I had a technical problem and called Dell on a Sunday. After several hours, Dell was unable to resolve the issue. We agreed that they would call me back at 7 PM (my time) on Monday. They never called on Monday. They called on Tuesday afternoon. My computer is at my home. They called me when I was at work, so I could do nothing at that time to resolve the problem. I explained this to the Dell employee who apologized for the broken service commitment (Monday call), and we rescheduled for Wednesday at 7 PM. They never called on Wednesday. They called on Thursday afternoon. I had the same conversation again, and expressed my disappointment with TWO failed service commitments. A call was scheduled for the weekend. They did call on the weekend, although a bit later than scheduled. I had already resolved the problem without their assistance, although it had taken one week to get to that point. They said they would close the case. Then I got a call soliciting payment to renew my Concierge Service for a second year. The Dell employee, at my request, researched the renewal I had paid for a few weeks before, and confirmed that I had another year already paid. This is just another example of technological incompetence at this "technology company." Since then, I have had several emails from Dell saying that they had tried to call me on the case that I had asked to be closed. Each time I make it clear that the matter has been resolved, and that I do NOT want a further response. They have responded over and over again, saying that they are still trying to contact me to resolve the case I have closed. Getting Dell to stop emailing me or claiming to have called me (they have not, in fact, called) is like trying to get rid of Herpes. No matter how many times I ask that this case be closed and that Dell does NOT email me about it, they still send me manual (not automated) responses. Concierge Service is supposed to help the customer, not harass the customer. If you want to deal with people who either (1) do not understand English or (2) cannot honor a simple request to close an open case and NOT response, then Dell would be a good fit for you. However, if you think that a technology company should be adept enough to (1) close and case and (2) not respond when asked not to respond, then avoid Dell as you would avoid Herpes.

Dell sucks

Purchased a Dell XPS 11 last August. Since then the computer has died three times and needed to have the motherboard and the power supply replaced. If you call Dell you get a computer voice that just takes you around in circles for 20 minutes. Then when a live person comes on the line they are in India and you cannot understand them After that they pass you up to the division of your computer maker and instead of listening to your complaint they try to tell you that your computer works when its obvious it doesn't. After about an hour on the phone trying to be reasonable and explain the situation they (CSR) just hang up on you. So now I must start over trying to get my computer repaired or replaced. Dell is incompetent, they make shoddy products and their customer service does not exist. On top of that the people that can do something hide behind the scenes and refuse to come out and help you. This was the last thing I will ever purchase from Dell and I advise anyone considering one of their products to avoid them as much as possible.

Are you people *** or consciously trying to make me angry. HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO TELL YOU TO NOT CONTACT ME! You Dell people, from the very top to the very bottom must be idiots! Look at all the emails from me, not to mention the phone calls. I have told you people to not contact me under any circumstances unless I contact you first on multiple occasions. Leave me the *** alone. (See, now you made me swear.) If you actually read this, Michael Dell, your company has lost its way. It used to have excellent customer service. Now it sucks. First off, I purchase a new laptop last year and it came with the wrong power cord. I had to wait three weeks to get the correct one, not to mention that it took 2.5 hours on the phone with support being transferred around to several people I could hardly understand. Then your idiots sent out a BIOS update that bricked my laptop. I spent another 2-3 hours on the phone with support. I still had to send it back to be fixedanother month or so without the laptop because of a Dell screw up. Look at the service tag if you dont believe me, its BLZZLC2. Now you are harassing me because I expressed interest in a extended warranty. Each time I get any kind of unsolicited commutation from Dell I am contacting you, Michael Dell and also will escalate to the other board members. Also, if I get any more phone calls, I will complain to the FTC about violating the do not call law, just as I did about the call from Dell I got this morning. You have lost a longtime customer because of your (expletive deleted) poor customer service. I have bought and used Dell products since I bought my first laptop about 15 years ago. You have no place in today's marketplace with that kind of service.

Dell - No help at all

I been trying for over a month to get help with a rather simple minor issue get nothing but excuses and time wasted lots of hang ups as well seems they can find any and all excuses to do nothing there supervisors are no better nothing is ever there fault, seems they think if they ignore an issue or problem long enough it will fix itself escallations ( higher dept to them) are the same they just make same excuses and hang up basically your talking to yourself unless you get lucky and find one person who actually does there job they seem to only know or understand there scripts they have and sometimes they have no idea at all about anything I had one person tell me to fix an issue with a touch pad " just remove the touch pad" best bet is to file a complaint with the better business burea but don't expect much they will cancel your warranty *** well

Dell Computers Canada is litrally fraud

I contacted Dell Canada Support as my Laptop is not powering up, and when I spoke with the tech support he asked me few questions to assess my Laptop damage and based on that he informed me that my laptop motherboard is damaged and I need to pay 405$ to fix it. I asked him if this could be something else like Motherboard power supply, however he assured me that it is defected motherboard, so I paid 405$ over the telephone based on his diagnosis, they promised that i will receive a package within 48 business hours to send my laptop to prepare and they will return it within 16 business days. Thus, I wasn't confident about his quick diagnosis, so i went home open the laptop back cover (it is internal battery not external) and after few seconds i put back the battery and the laptop worked just fine. My concern was with Dell Support quickly moving to conclusion without proper diagnosis and charging based on incorrect diagnosis, that is completely unethical and unprofessional. If i didnt open the laptop i might have been charged falsly and will have no evidence on what actually happen.. I urge everyone who has a technical problem with this company to verify before trusting them. again i have two recording, the only reason i'm not publishing the recording is that i have communicated my Visa Card Number, however if required i would be gladly publishing it to insure that there has been no miscommunication. I did saved the first call and second call with Dell Support as I register all my outgoing calls, and i sent it to dell for their verification.

I just want to let you know that my computer as, of now is working fine. But I have to bring this to your attention. When you file a complaint against Dell they will get the computer back right. Then, later on in the future they will start messing with it again. I have reminded them over and over about this. What they does is try to wait for a good period of time when they think you got your mind off them they, try to make you think they are not messing with your computer. Then, they start messing with all over again. I know the games that they play. I know my computer and I can tell every time when they are messing with it or, have some other microsoft office doing it for them. First they start by, they use to send these popup boxes and have a telephone number for you to call them saying that your computer has a spyware or, an adware virus. Don't fall for this baite. My computer is protected from viruses. If you don't call them they, will make the computer start going crazy it get all out control. Then, somebody will call you and ask if something wrong with your computer or, your computer is giving signals to their database. They know all the time that something is wrong with it because they are the one that's doing it. That's to get you to let them into your computer for a charge. Now, since this wasn't working for them. They got it fixed so, that when you go into certain links. This terrible sound goes off on your computer. This is too scare you into calling them. So, they can charge you to fix it. They have beef at me because I am too smart for them. So, they think that if they can't get me in one way. They will try to get me in another way. They try every way they can to get even with me. But that beef that they got against me. They better save it because they might need it for dinner one day. They think that they are slick but, they can stand a whole lot of greasing. For now, the computer is back to normal. Ask me how did it get back right? They fixed back right. I didn't fix it, and I did not call them, and I will never call them. When they mess with it again. I will be complaining on them again. They should leave well enough alone. Computer hackers they don't give you their name and telephone numbers or, call you up on the phone. If a computer hacker is messing with your computer and they give you their name and a number to call them. They have to know that this is imprisonment time for messing with people personal information.

Dell - Have been deceived by qvc

i purchased a computer with lifetime technical service for free with purchase of dell computer.premeir technical service to be exact and they are very bad they had me waiting from what they said would be 6 minutes turned into 2 plus hours...they finally broke off stating it had been an excessive amount of time try later i had opened another window after waiting so long and with the same results.and when they have worked on my computer there was always something still unresolved.i finally started stating on the reviews they ask you to take ,i would refrain from answering if it was fixed till i tried it out myself ...so many disappointments and they are under contract with qvc? wow.and wow i have had professional technical service which i bought ,i yogi and avast and have never been so disappointed ,no wait longer than 2-3 minutes and issues amazingly fixed.iwill pursue this through dell and qvc,but if not given satisfaction i know my recourses and will pursue them.

Dell Computer Technical Service is the Worst

My i7 iNSPIRON All in One had issues. Finally it would not boot up. And after days talking to India, on a distorted lousy phone line and with people that were impossible to understand, and not very good, Dell replaced the hard drive and the mother board. Their techs kept telling me to wait and minute and I guess went to ask someone on what to do next. They were the worst tech support people I have delt with. Now even after the replaced board and hard drive, it is slugish and the mouse does not work correctly and I have spent hours with Dell support and they can't fix it. They were to call me back today and never did. I want a new machine because this one is broken and Dell can't seem to fix it. The worst service I have ever seen.....I WANT A NEW MACHINE.
