I sent my less than year old XPS 13, under warranty, back to Dell on July 2, 2020. I itemized 1.

That is was freezing and restarting, 2. That when plugging computer in I was having battery issues. The computer was completely wiped and returned to me on July 10, they had replaced the motherboard and reformatted the drive. I used the computer on July 11 only to discover it would not charge and was completely dead within a day.

Calling Dell on Monday July 13 they again requested me to send it back. As of this writing they still have my laptop waiting for parts to replace my ss hard drive. I have made multiple attempts by phone, email, and chat to request they just replace the machine and repair it on their time. I have not had my computer for the whole of July.

My proposed return date as of this writing on their update site is July 30. This is totally unacceptable, and their customer service is impotent to help the consumer.

This is not a one a done, this is my 4th Dell. I am deeply disappointed to where their company is devolving.

User's recommendation: do not purchase warranty have it repaired privately.

Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered.
