I called Dell to order a laptop. The first person I spoke with did not speak good english, and had great difficulty understanding that the laptop was for a Volunteer Fire Department.
She asked me three times if it was for a business or personal. I hung up and dialed back, getting a different girl who spoke good english and said she would transfer me to the right department. They cut me off. I called back and got an even better sales consultant who found my account and said she would put me on hold for a moment.
I got transferred into the holding point where the robo operator asks you why you are calling. Screw it! I went to the website and ordered what I wanted.
This is terrible marketing. Shame on Dell.
Preferred solution: Fix your damn telephone sales department!!!.
